I got a phone call last week informing me that my license plate had been found, and they had a few questions regarding its whereabouts.
I called back and was to my delight informed that it had been discovered in the trunk of a stolen car and was evidence in a police investigation. Why wasn't it reported stolen?
Well, because apparently IMPD felt it unneccesary to file an incident report despite the fact that I did deal with them in all ways necessary and proper. My license plate was not listed as missing or stolen.
I'm not in trouble, but every once in a while I find myself wishing I were. Just cause it would be kind of fun. I wish I knew the kind of individual who would steal a car from IUPUI's campus, drive it halfway across the city to my apartment building's (barely accessible and well hidden) parking lot, remove my license plate, put it in the trunk instead of using it to replace the stolen plate, and then drive it out to the sticks (uhhh...Hagerstown) and abandon it.
No, really.

Chicks are bad at crime, it seems.
Actually, women make better assassins because they're more patient. It's true, Michigan State did a study. :)
